Formers are short, intuitive exercises that we’ll develop collectively, quickly, and alone. They ask where a work begins and ends. They are melodic, on brand, and focused on the role presentation plays in the construction of meaning. Formers are gestures, disappearing acts, and palimpsests. They are corrupt objects obsessed with their own time.
Throughout the sessions, we'll be developing a series of Formers together using screens, scores, speech, spatial gestures, etc. We’ll look at a range of artistic positions that deal with the politics of scale, space and circulation, work through sites, and walk away from our plans if they become too suffocating.
